Ramona Gregory was our guest artist from November 1 to December 31, 2011 with an exhibition titled “The Art of Dimples” showcasing Ramona’s irresistibly impish pottery. Her work was so well received that The Pottery Store has now invited her to become one of our team on a permanent basis.
Ms. Gregory’s work features altered wheel thrown forms that are dimpled with pockets of melted glass and embellished with whimsically scrolled handles and hooks that create highly collectible yet eminently functional works of art.
Ramona Gregory began working with ceramics at Emily Carr Institute in 2001, completing a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2005. After many years away spent going to school, traveling, living in Vancouver and abroad, planting trees, and pursuing her art wherever she was, Ramona has returned to the Comox Valley, establishing Elementerra Art Studio (www.elementerraurns.com).
