The Art – Polymer Clay

Polymer clay is not actually clay, but a sculptable polyvinyl material whose texture and working properties resemble those of clay. Pigments are added to the translucent base to create a variety of colors. Our polymer clay collection includes delightful wall tiles in bright, playful colours, dramatic Muses and Moxies as well as some jewellery items.

The Artist

Gera Scott Chandler of aMused Creations attended Emily Carr College of Art and Design in 1989 and later spent a few years immersed in self-directed explorations in papier mache, paper-making and book arts. Eventually, she started working with polymer clay and was drawn into an innovative community of artists who are fascinated by this wonderfully adaptive medium that is making inroads in the art world. Gera has been a full time polymer clay artist for over twelve years now and loving it!
